How to set up the CSP relationship from an indirect provider (also known as distributor) perspective

As an indirect provider in CSP, you work with indirect resellers who sell Microsoft Office 365 and Azure to customers. To make this possible the indirect provider has to establish a reseller relationship with the indirect reseller.

Before you begin inviting indirect resellers to Spinpanel

  1. Make sure the reseller is a registered Microsoft customer with an active Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) ID for your business location.
  2. Ask the indirect reseller to have the global administrator credentials for their work account on hand.
  3. Read the following Microsoft article to get a basic understanding of the steps an indirect provider needs to take in the Microsoft Partner Center to be able to establish an relationship with indirect providers.

How-to

Step 1

Select Indirect resellers from your Partner Center menu.

Step 2

On the Indirect resellers page, select Request a partnership. A draft email message appears.

Step 3

Select Open in email to open the message in your default email application, or select Copy to clipboard to copy and then paste the message into an email. Select Done when finished.

You can edit the text in the email message, but be sure to include the link as it is personalized for your Partner Center account.

Step 4

Send the link to the indirect reseller and ask them to authorize you to be their partner of record.
