As an indirect reseller in CSP, you work with an indirect provider (also known as distributor) who provides you with Spinpanel to sell Microsoft Office 365 and Azure to your customers.
Instead of two separate steps, you can invite a customer to establish a reseller relationship with you and with your indirect provider at the same time.
Before you begin inviting customers to Spinpanel
- Make sure the customer is a registered Microsoft customer (*.onmicrosoft.com tenant).
- Ask the customer to have the global administrator credentials for their work account on hand. (username and password used to sign in as a global admin for Office 365, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Dynamics CRM). They'll need this in step 4.
- Read the following Microsoft article to get a basic understanding of the steps an indirect reseller needs to take in the Microsoft Partner Center to be able to sell to customers.
Select Indirect providers from your Partner Center menu.
Select Invite new customers to invite a customer to establish a reseller relationship with both the indirect reseller (you) and the indirect provider at the same time. The indirect provider needs to have a reseller relationship with your customer so they can submit orders on your customer's behalf when the customer wants to buy new subscriptions or add new licenses to existing subscriptions.
On the next page, review the draft email message. You can open the draft message in email or you can copy the message to your clipboard and paste it into an email. Select Done when you've completed this step.
You can edit the text in the email. Just be sure to include the link as it is personalized to link the customer directly to both your account and your provider's account.
Send the link to your customer and ask them to authorize you and your provider to be their resellers of record.
